S-series Modems
S100 w/ Remote Power S100 w/ Lithium Ion
Popoto S-series of modems represent an industry breakthrough in performance and affordability. The S100RP is unmatched at a price at $1999 for a complete modem in an encloser with transducer. The Popoto S-series has reliable data transfer at multiple bitrates starting at 80 bps all the way to 5120 bps. Easy to use API’s such as Python, Matlab, C++, or socket based JSON along with multiple hardware interfaces such as RS-232, RS422, ethernet, and GPIOs make this modem easy to integrate and use. The transmit output power is selectable up to 20W. The Popoto S-series also gives submeter accuracy using two way ranging so you can always know the distance to your modem.

M-series Modems
M2000
Popoto M-series modems are designed for the most demanding ocean applications. The M-series transducer and enclosures are designed for deep water. The 100W transmitter gives the M-series power for long haul transmission in the most demanding acoustic environments. The Popoto M-series delivers reliable data transfer at multiple bitrates starting at 80 bps all the way to 5120 bps.
The Popoto M-series has ability to log data and PCM to an external SATA drive, giving it almost limitless storage capability. It has easy to use API’s such as Python, Matlab, C++, or socket based JSON along with multiple hardware interfaces such as RS-232, RS422, ethernet, SPI and GPIOs make this modem easy to integrate and use. It includes an available Linux based ARM processor for customers to easily write control and instrumentation Python software resident on the modem.
This modem supports real-time streaming of PCM data for either capture of acoustic signals or generation of acoustic sounds. When this modem is in sleep mode, it consumes a miniscule 13 mW of power and can be awakened by a frequency hopped wake up signal. The Popoto M-series also gives submeter accuracy using two way ranging so you can always know the distance to your modem. An ANEP-87 JANUS version of this modem is also available.
